Excite Solar

School Studies

Traditionally, the sunlight is captured by various large surfaces of photovoltaic (PV) solar cell panels. Excite Solar uses a new approach to solar power. Excite uses glass spheres, which are 1% of the size of traditional methods, to harness the same amount of sunlight.

The glass spheres are filled with water that refracts light into a powerful concentrated beam of energy onto its PV panel. This magnifies the light rays by more than 10,000 times, making it possible to harvest light from the moon and even during cloudy days.

In addition, since the sun and moon are constantly moving, its PV panel is attached to a sun/moon tracker that follows the course of the sun/moon as it travels across the sky. As a result, Excite's solar technology is 75% more efficient than traditional solar cell panels, perfect for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
